You Stream?

Okay, so, we blew up Ustream.

For those of you unaware, this evening we had our live streaming premiere for Pinching Penny (check it out, yo) and while we were expecting a modest number of viewers to tune in, we were completely blown away by the INSANE number of incredibly supportive and enthusiastic fans to came out to cheer us on.

A huge, profuse "THANK YOU" to all the Penny pals out there - stay tuned for more info about our future projects, including Safety, Hull Damage and everything else, both here, at my Twitter, my Facebook Fan Page and every other damn thing.

Until later.

My Daily Spaceship

Chapter: 27
Page Count: 336
Word Count: 183,500
Nemo's Bounty: 998,000 Commercial

"The Bloody Afterburn thunders with the guffawing, quaffing excitement of a novice pirate crew and their hangers-on, glorifying a virginal heist successfully accomplished with booze and bravado, whereas, unbeknownst to the revelers, another such crew, now haggard, weathered and threadbare, savor a somber few moments of piratical solidarity, their homecoming from hell and back unlauded by anyone but themselves."

Well, kids. Daddy's all done.

After 14 months, 3 acts, 27 chapters, 6 interludes, 336 pages and 183,546 words, my first novel, "Hull Damage," is finally the fuck complete. I feel a little blessed, honestly, that I managed to get it out in what seems like a relatively short amount of time, but I was, at the same time, working with characters I've been developing in my head and in various medias, for six years.

I'm hoping to post an excerpt here in the near future, so stay tuned for a nice, yummy sample chapter or three, if you kiddos would be interested.

In other news, as I promised, I'm now in Los Angeles. For good. Not necessarily under the circumstances I would have liked, but alas, thems the breaks. I'm currently crashing on the couch of some confederates of mine, colloquially known as The Dream Team, and I'm currently starting Day Three of "The Enticing and Arousing Adventures of Timothy J. Meyer in The Land of Promise!" without much real plan of action.

It's exceedingly odd, I've decided, not having an active project to devote a word count to. Like, trust me, I'm essentially enjoying the break, but I can't help but feel weirdly decadent, spending all day dicking around and playing video games, while Word hasn't been opened in days. I feel like The Productivity Police are about to raid the apartment and haul me off for questioning at any moment.

That being said, I had exactly nine plot ideas for my upcoming transition novel, "Cutthroat Ragtime," on the plane, minutes after effectively finishing "Hull Damage." Beyond that, I've got a screenplay I'm gonna rewrite, I've got a science fiction noir short story to write and I'm helping my friend structure his own screenplay, so I've plenty of work before me, I'm just still adjusting to the lack of spaceships in my daily life.

Until later.
